Fill our Hearts with Heavenly Joy - Kamerkoor Quartna

On Saturday 22 March and Sunday 23 March, chamber choir Quartna from Maastricht will present a varied musical programme led by Arno Kerkhof and in collaboration with organist Nils Hellemans and oboist Angeline Scheijen. 

The title of the programme does not say a word too much: Fill our Hearts with Heavenly Joy. The works played and sung are mainly from the English cathedral choir tradition of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. 

The programme includes the Magnificat and Te Deum Laudamus by Herbert Sumsion and various works for choir, organ and oboe by Rutter, Wesley, Wadely and Helvey, among others. 
Chamber choir Quartna consists of members who perform polyphonic choral works twice a year in South Limburg. 

On Saturday 22 March, the programme will be performed in St Servaas Church in Maastricht (8pm) and on Sunday 23 March in St Nicolaas and Barbara Church in Valkenburg aan de Geul (3.30pm). More info via the website.
