The Christmas Cave of Valkenburg!

In the Christmas grotto, visit the 30-meter-long diorama of miniatures depicting the Biblical Christmas story. Let yourself be carried away by the moving Christmas story of the Sand Wizard. Admire the impressive marl and sand sculptures. Don't forget to admire the spectacular Christmas films and 3D cave paintings. Keep your camera at hand.

A magical Christmas experience in the cave!

Christmas in MergelRijk is highly recommended for both young and old and an experience you definitely don't want to miss! During Christmas in MergelRijk, the underground tunnel system will be completely decorated in a Christmas atmosphere. An attractive cave full of lights, Christmas trees, Christmas statues made of marl and other decorations. Believe us, you will be short of eyes!

November 15 to January 5
Monday to Friday: 11.00 - 16.00 hours
Saturday, Sunday and Christmas Break: 10.00 - 16.30 hours

Exceptions: December 31, January 1 and January 5, MergelRijk is open from 11.00 - 16.00 hours.

The last entrance to the cave is 1,5 hour before closing.
