The success of culinary walking route ‘Route d’Amuse’ has been unprecedented for years and the recipe is simple. During one of the walking routes you will receive a delicious ‘amuse bouche’ at each of four different catering establishments. The routes allow you to discover a part of Christmas Town Valkenburg, but also some of its beautiful surroundings. This year there are no fewer than 4 routes to walk.

This culinary walk is the ideal way to spend a long morning or afternoon enjoying a small bite to eat and walking with your family, a group of friends or colleagues, at the end or beginning of the year. Equally tasty bites are provided to both children and vegetarians!
Make the Route d'Amuse even more relaxing and travel by Public Transport. The train takes you directly to the heart of Valkenburg. What routes are there?
This year, there are four festive Christmas Routes d’Amuse, each with its own theme, taking you past a variety of restaurants and cafés:
- Route 1 Yellow – Castle Walk through the Hill Country (5.5 km): Wijnbrouwerij Flint – Restaurant de Zoete Zoen – Bij de Jongens – Kasteel Oost
- Route 2 Blue – Valkenburg in Christmas Splendour (5 km): Shimano Experience Center – Parkhotel Valkenburg – 't Hoekje Party&Bites – 't Koetshoes
- Route 3 Red – Ingendael Nature Reserve and Charming Valkenburg (6.5 km): Restaurant Taverna Nous – Geulhemermolen – Burgemeester Quicx – 't Koetshoes
- Route 4 Green – A Leisurely Stroll through the 'Beemden' and along the River Geul (5–7.5 km): 't Koetshoes – Bie Jeanneke – De Herbergier – B&B het Gerendal
